**Job Description:**
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant/Portfolio Holder to play a vital role in their team, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality work, delivering excellent client service, and fostering a supportive team environment. This role also provides the chance to participate in business development activities. Here are the key responsibilities:

**Main Responsibilities:**
**General:**
- Manage a portfolio of clients and report directly to the Partner/Manager, prioritising outstanding client service.
- Prepare accounts, business, and personal tax computations and tax returns in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Oversee and provide training to team members involved in account preparation.
- Manage workloads and meet client expectations.
- Work within set budgets and timeframes.

**Business Development:**
- Actively seek opportunities to grow our client's business across the firm.
- Develop a deep understanding of your client base and provide tax planning advice based on legislative changes.
- Participate in marketing events as a firm ambassador when appropriate.

**Task Management:**
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Consistently meet deadlines while understanding the commercial implications of actions related to productivity, recoverability, fee income, and client service.

**Training:**
- Continuously learn how to effectively manage a client portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with all Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
- Identify training needs for personal development and share experiences to help others develop.

**Other Responsibilities:**
- Adhere to the firm's risk management policies and procedures.
- Undertake additional duties as required to meet the demands of the business.


- Essential: Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)

**Skills and Experience:**
- Essential:
  - Post-qualified experience within a practice.
  - Proven ability to efficiently manage a portfolio.
  - Quick adaptation to changing deadlines and priorities.
  - Experience dealing with client matters.
  - Knowledge of cloud software products.
- Desirable:
  - Experience mentoring team members.
  - Cloud certifications (Xero, QuickBooks).
