Accounts Manager – Hove

The Role:

As the Accounts Manager, you will take responsibility for preparing and managing the accounts and tax work for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will:

  • Prepare and manage sole trader and partnership accounts, as well as self-assessment tax returns using Iris software.
  • Prepare and manage limited company accounts and corporation tax returns on Iris.
  • Handle VAT returns across multiple platforms, including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information for timely completion of accounts, tax, and VAT returns.
  • Assist with practice management tasks such as WIP control and client billing.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and deliver added value.
  • Support the team in achieving individual and team budgets.
  • Maintain the highest technical and professional standards in all your work.
  • Offer additional help and guidance to clients where needed.
  • Coach, train, and develop junior staff.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in managing accounts and tax for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Proficiency with software packages such as Iris, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
