The Role:

You’ll be part of a respected firm that works with clients across various sectors, including charities and not-for-profits. As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in developing the operational capabilities of the Charities team, enabling further growth. With a strong audit and technical background, you’ll provide both hands-on support and managerial guidance to audit and accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the technical lead within the Charities team, overseeing audit and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to take on part of the Managing Director’s portfolio.
  • Implement and manage audit plans in line with ISA315 standards.
  • Provide training and leadership to junior team members, developing their talents.
  • Hands-on involvement with client audits and preparation of financial statements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in audit with comprehensive accounting technical knowledge.
  • Experience working with IRISMy Working Papers, and Xero software preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to grow client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Charity sector experience is a plus, but not essential.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team, while maintaining attention to detail.

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, plus a 5% pension.
  • 22 days holiday (increasing to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
  • A clear pathway for growth, with the opportunity to become a key senior manager.
  • Work-life balance with a combination of Brighton and occasional London-based work.
