Lydia launched ProTalent back in 2009 with one very clear mission: to change how recruitment is done. She’d seen how recruitment often missed the mark, especially when it came to accountancy practices, and she knew there was a better way.
“I was fed up with the status quo. Practice recruitment deserved better. I wanted to create a consultancy that specialised, cared, and added real value, and that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
Now, over 15 years later, Lydia remains the driving force behind ProTalent’s growth, values, and culture. As Managing Director, she heads up the business, leads the team, and is still very much hands-on in the world of practice recruitment, specialising across London, Sussex and the Home Counties markets.
She’s known for her unmatched work ethic, straight-talking approach, and deep commitment to helping both clients and candidates thrive.

Clarity, care and courage, that’s how we lead, recruit, and grow.
If you had to describe your leadership style in 3 words?
Empowered. Focused. Human.

Lydia doesn’t just run a business, she builds it every single day. She’s the powerhouse behind ProTalent’s mission, values, and momentum. A natural leader with a sharp commercial brain and an even bigger heart, Lydia knows how to balance big-picture vision with ground-level impact.
She’s constantly growing, from completing courses and writing books to lifting at the gym and raising her brilliant twins. And through it all, she continues to lead by example: fiercely committed, unapologetically ambitious, and deeply human.
Oh, and Blue (her pup-in-training) makes a pretty good co-pilot too.
