Assistant / Senior Accountant (Audit) - Corporate Services

Looking for an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level? Our Accountancy Practice client is currently seeking a Corporate Services Assistant/Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in either Cambridge or Huntingdon. As an Assistant or Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large international groups.

As an Assistant, you will be part or fully AAT qualified and/or ICAEW/ACCA part-qualified, with a minimum of one year of recent experience in Corporate Services work within a UK practice environment. If you're seeking study support, we're happy to provide it, and you'll be recruited as a 'Trainee Accountant'.

As a Senior, you will already be ICAEW/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience, with at least 3 years of recent experience in Corporate Services work within a UK practice environment.

The exact type of work you undertake will depend upon your experience and competencies, but you will be expected to lead (or develop into leading) on small audit jobs and assist on larger audit assignments within the team as required. You will also be required to prepare accounts for a variety of businesses. A working knowledge of corporation tax would be helpful.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team environment. You must also be self-motivated, hard-working, flexible, and prepared to undertake some travel. A full UK driving license and access to your own transport are essential.
