**Exciting Opportunity: Assistant Manager – Audit (Charities Division)**

**About the Role**

Pro Talent Recruiting, on behalf of a leading Business Advisory Group (BAG) within the Charities division, is seeking an Assistant Manager – Audit for a full-time, permanent position.

As an integral part of the Charities division, you will join a close-knit team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of charity and other Not-for-profit clients. Reporting to the charities partners, you will lead teams comprising qualified audit seniors and trainees.

**Responsibilities**

- Manage a varied portfolio of clients with incomes ranging from £250,000 to £15 million.
- Conduct audits and potentially internal control reviews, due diligence, and provide accounting support and advice to clients.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of tenders for new projects.
- Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance sector-specific knowledge and capabilities.
- Utilise key systems such as MS Teams, Excel, Words, CCH Audit Automation, and CCH Accounts Production.

**The Team**

Our Not-for-Profit practice has experienced significant growth, serving over 400 charities and other not-for-profit organisations. This includes grant-making, children’s and environmental charities, independent schools, and livery companies.

**Candidate Requirements**

- ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong exam record and prior experience in an audit and accounting practice.
- Knowledge of current issues within the charities sector or a keen interest in the space.
- Experience in auditing and advising charities is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with the Charities SORP and VAT and tax issues affecting charities is beneficial.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with ambition and resilience.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Confidence, professionalism, and commercial acumen to understand and meet client needs.
