Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing financial audits from planning through to completion, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with professional standards.
  • Supervising and mentoring audit teams, providing them with guidance and support to ensure high-quality audit performance and professional development.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and providing tailored advice to enhance their financial processes and controls.
  • Collaborating with other departments to offer comprehensive business advice, contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence in all areas of accountancy practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal methodologies and regulatory standards, including keeping abreast of changes in financial reporting and auditing standards.
  • Managing multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to timelines and budget constraints.

Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a solid background in audit within a practice environment.
  • Proven experience in managing audits and leading teams, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • A thorough understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively.
