Role: Bookkeeper (Accountancy Practice)

ProTalent is working with a well established Accountancy Practice in Grays, who are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash transactions.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Produce financial reports and assist with the preparation of management accounts.
- Support clients with any bookkeeping queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper handling multiple clients
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
- AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
