Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager - Outsourcing, you'll be a crucial player in our client's awesome team, supporting the Outsourcing Manager, Client Managers, and Directors. You'll dive into the world of accounting and outsourcing, working your magic to provide outstanding services to our diverse range of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Get your VAT groove on by reviewing and occasionally preparing VAT returns.
  • Unleash your accounting prowess by preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Be the go-to expert on cloud-based software, providing advice and guidance to both clients and colleagues.
  • Stay ahead of the game by keeping up to date with changes in legislation.
  • Take the lead in mentoring and supporting the development of Trainees in our kick-ass outsourcing team.
  • Help shape the team's future by assisting the Outsourcing Manager with team development and the appraisal process.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Essential: AAT qualification or qualified by experience. Show us what you've got!
  • Essential: Previous experience rocking it in a practice environment.
  • Essential: A minimum of three years of relevant practice accounting experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in supervising staff. Be the team's guiding light!
  • Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting Software Packages. Show those spreadsheets who's boss!
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Digita Suite, SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, Virtual Cabinet, Dext. Tech-savviness is a big plus!
