The Company:
Our client is a prominent UK chartered accountancy firm, ranking among the top 30 in the country. Their organisation emphasises a personalised, partner-led approach, catering to a diverse client base of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, Not for Profit entities, and high-net-worth individuals.

The firm has 25 partners and approximately 300 staff members, offering a comprehensive suite of services including audit, corporate taxation, private client services, VAT, forensic accounting, and specialised industry knowledge through sector groups.

The Department:
Our client's Private Client department, overseen by 6 Partners, a Consultant, and 2 Directors, consists of 30 dedicated specialists.

The Role:
Our client requires a seasoned Manager to join their expanding Private Client Tax team.

The selected candidate will primarily assist the Head of Tax in managing a substantial portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, contributing to the dynamic, successful, and driven team.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical advice, consulting with Directors and Partners as needed
  • Managing portfolio billing and organisation
  • Serving as a secondary point of contact for key clients
  • Participating in pitches and general business development activities
  • Supervising junior staff, offering guidance and addressing inquiries
  • Identifying opportunities for business development and cross-selling
  • Coordinating client compliance processes
  • Contributing ideas and participating in manager meetings
  • Additional duties as required

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 6 years of personal tax experience in a practice setting
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Experience with non-domiciled individuals and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A blend of corporate and personal tax experience
  • CTA qualification is mandatory, with preference for familiarity with Digita software (training available)
