Compliance and Training Manager - Apprenticeships

**Location:** Bishops Stortford - hybrid/remote

Accountancy Practice

**Role Overview:**

Are you a qualified ACA/ACCA professional looking for a dynamic role that combines your financial expertise with your passion for education and training? Our client, a top accountancy practice is seeking an Apprentice Compliance and Training Manager to join the Professional Studies team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that apprentices and professionals meet their training requirements and stay on track for success. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge by preparing and presenting internal practical training sessions. Additionally, you will work closely with the compliance team on various projects, training initiatives, and technical support tasks.

*Personal Responsibilities:*

- Attend apprenticeship meetings with students and their training providers.
- Maintain regular communication with students to ensure their apprenticeship records are up to date.
- Conduct meetings with students to review their training files and professional development competencies.
- Assist in reconciling training provider invoices to budgets, collaborating with internal Finance team as necessary.
- Facilitate effective communication with HR and payroll department to support their objectives.
- Prepare and deliver internal practical training sessions covering areas such as bookkeeping, accounts preparation, and tax.
- Provide assistance and expertise in addressing technical queries related to Financial Reporting.
- Conduct research on technical issues and produce clear summaries of findings.
- Offer ad-hoc training on key audit, financial reporting, money laundering, and practical areas for staff as required.
- Assist in drafting procedures and policy documents.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc projects within the organisation.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.

**Person Specification:**

- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- Strong ability to summarise and report findings concisely.
- Proficiency in IT skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A collaborative team player.
- Enthusiastic, motivated to learn, and eager to take on new challenges.
- Highly organised with a demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.

**Training & Development:**

- Comprehensive CPD program for fully qualified candidates, including compliance and broader technical skills training.
- Regular performance reviews every twelve months.

- Core business hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00 am – 5:30 pm).
